Wedgeview Lodge

Wedgeview is found hidden against the mountains of the Western Cape, surrounded by vineyards as far the eye can see. With only 11 amazing en-suite bedrooms in the lodge the rooms are quite exclusive and your vacation private. There are views the Simonsberg and Stellenbosch Mountains and the vineyards from the upstairs bedrooms and also from the private patios of the downstairs rooms which can be enjoyed with a view of the African Bushvelt. A luxury family cottage whose deck opens up onto the pool is available if you plan on bringing the family. Wireless Internet access is available in all rooms and around the lodge if you need to be connected.

While at Wedgeview either enjoy wine on the balcony or take walks in the countryside that surrounds the lodge. The quite of the vineyards is therapeutic allowing time for relaxation and reflection. On warmer days head on over to the pool and lounge in the summer heat. This region, despite being known for the wines, is also known for golf and sightseeing. With about fifteen golf courses within a thirty-five minute drive of the lodge, you have a wide variety of choices. With Cape Town less than 30 minutes drive from the lodge, day trips are easy.

Stellenbosch is filled with places to sample the wine and food, and scattered across this little town are museums. The Jonkershoek nature reserve is not far away, and it is a heaven for those who like hiking or fly fishing. Most popular with the younger ones is Tygerberg Zoo home to the Endangered Wildlife Breeding Center - a fun attraction open every day of the year.

The easiest way to get to Wedgeview is to take the R102 east out of Cape Town and then follow the M12 all the way there. The lodge will be able to send direction in your reservation packet.
