Madikwe Safari Lodge

From: $385 p. p. n. sharing

Consisting of three self-contained camps, Madikwe Safari Lodge can be found in the central eastern part of the Madikwe game reserve. One of South Africa’s big 5 reserves, Madikwe has a complex history and its translation, “place of blood” is apt as it has played witness to multiple groups of people and events; San, Nguni, cattle farmers and missionaries have all occupied this area, and the region played host to Anglo-Boer War battles. Its teeming history makes it a fascinating place to stay, and the Lodge itself is located centrally, allowing for excellent game viewing and plentiful activities
