A beautiful rim-flow pool also looks out onto the water hole, a unique opportunity to swim and cool off while watching African wildlife gather mere meters away. The lounge, terraces and dining areas also share this ideal position, and there are few areas at the lodge where you won’t see animals.

The 10 beautiful suites at Kichaka are reached via walkways winding from the main lodge. Each opulent suite is slightly separated, giving guests privacy and peace. Perfect for honeymooners, suites feature romantic outdoor showers, 24hour room service, private decks and plunge pools and spectacular views. Extra touches like complimentary drinks and cookies placed in each room help to make Kichaka a stand-out safari destination.

En-suite bathrooms are contemporary and spacious, with great bath tubs and his-and-her vanities. Perfect for all seasons, suites have both air-conditioning and underfloor heating.

Excellent meals are served daily, including an extensive afternoon tea. All food is prepared fresh and is consistently high-quality and delicious.

Game drives and guided walks through the picturesque bush allow for spectacular wildlife viewing, with large numbers of plains game (zebra, springbok, eland, gemsbok and wildebeest among others) and predators including lion, hyena and cheetah. Night drives are the perfect way to see nocturnal animals such as aardwolf and aardvark.

Early morning drives begin with tea, coffee and snacks, while evening drives end with sun downers. Bring warm clothes for chilly mornings and nights on the reserve.

When not watching wildlife, have a dip in the pools or enjoy a massage at the wellness center.
