“We had a wonderful time! We loved the Kambaku and the service we received there. Our guide/ranger was fantastic and we saw the big 5 plus more! I would highly recommend the lodge/reserve to anyone!” – Lindsey Figg – USA

The Timbavati shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park, which enables the Timbavati Game Reserve to offer guests of Kambaku the opportunity to view the large population of local game that comes across from the larger park areas, under the rules and regulations of the private game reserve. With different restrictions in the Timbavati, guests are able to have much more intimate sightings and time with the animals.

Accommodation

With only eight, luxury chalets you are guaranteed an exclusive safari experience. Kambaku’s accommodation follows the original thatched luxury chalets, arranged in a semi-circle, each with wide open views of game and the bush. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom, a double four-poster bed with mosquito nets and stunning views. The suites are furnished with modern amenities and facilities including air-conditioning and a fire place for those colder winter nights. Extremely popular amongst visitors, be sure to book early, because during peak times these incredible chalets get snapped up well in advance.

Activities

Kambaku, greatly recognized by past travelers as being one of the best family friendly safari destinations in South Africa, offers wonderful children’s activities and facilities. Other activities on offer include adventurous Big Five Game drives, guided walks through the bushveld where your senses become tuned to all the sounds and smells of the surrounding environment. Bird-watching for the feather lovers is always a wonderful past time on safari and great to indulge in early morning or late afternoon escapades over the landscapes or merely see what lurks around the camp itself.
