NYUNGWE FOREST LODGE Class ★★★★½

Nyungwe Forest Lodge is in Rwanda, one of Africa’s least-visited but most beautiful countries. Since it is largely unvisited by tourists, when you come to Rwanda you will feel as if you are one of the first people there. The lodge was designed to blend in to the surrounding environment, in order to remain as inconspicuous as possible.

Nyungwe Forest Lodge is situated in a tea plantation on the very edge of the Nyungwe National Park, which is a closed canopy rainforest and is home to 13 species of primate, including chimpanzees.

• All rooms and suites face the forest and the lodge comprises 15 luxury rooms with a king-size bed, 7 luxury rooms with a twin bed. These rooms sleep a maximum of 2 adults each.
• 2 suites with king-size beds, which are connected to a second luxury room with a twin bed.

Access

• Guided transportation is available from Rwanda’s main airport in Kigali and is available at additional cost, arranged at the time of booking.
• Rental vehicles are available in Kigali, for self-driving but this is not recommended.
• The lodge is roughly 250 km away from Kigali, with a driving time of 4 – 5 hours travelling at an average of 60 km per hour.
• Helicopter charters are available from Kigali International Airport at additional cost.
• Access to the Nyungwe National Park is subject the purchase of a permit, which can be arranged prior to your arrival or at the lodge itself.
