Lukimbi Safari Lodge, with 16 suites to choose from each with its unique view of the river below, has the feel of top class lodging in the true African bush of Kruger National Park. The Kruger National Park is world-renowned for being home to the big five of Africa and to providing one of the best safari experiences. This 15,000 hectare area is home to herds of zebra, to the white rhino and to the lions. Surrounded by 3 rivers, the area in which Lukimbi is located is rich with the wildlife that make open vehicles safaris in Africa unforgettable.
Facilities:
For the absolute romantic, choose either of the King Cheetah and Giant Eagle Owl suites where you will have your own private pool and additional en-suite bathroom. All suites are connected to the lodge by a system of elevated wooden pathways with far-reaching views of the river and the bush below.
Activities:
Lukimbi has a full range of actives for guests both young and old. For those who need some of some R&R you will find spa treatments using indigenous blended oils, or a massage to cool the aches and pains of everyday life or traveling. For the evening expect fine dining with a view, either from the candle-lined decks or from in the bush – on occasion the chef has been known to be creative with where he serves the food and will make a recommendation. Before dinner, go by the bar to exchange stories of the day, or head into the wine cellar and choose a bottle that suits your mood.
Family Friendly:
Lukimbi is great for kids. From 5:30am there are members of staff on hand to keep an eye on the young guests. Kids are welcome in the supervised safari room, or join in other activities from game drives and treasure hunts to the interactive sessions with the rangers which start later in the day. While the adults are enjoying a meal the children are welcome to join for the popular kids dinners or picnics.
Access:
Lukimbi Safari Lodge is located on the southern and most accessible parts of the park with only a four drive from the International airport in Johannesburg.
