Kwafubesi is truly a jewel in the real African bush. With only five elevated luxury tents in the camp, and with extraordinary spacing between them, the view from the each private deck could be something straight out of “Out of Africa” with regular animal sightings. Both dinners and breakfasts can be arranged on the deck, so you can enjoy the sounds of Africa. The en-suite bathrooms have both a bath and shower which can be enjoyed with a view of the African Bushvelt.
Facilities:
Kwafubesi Tented Camp lies in the center of the malaria-free Mabula Private Game Reserve with about a 20 minute drive from the main Mabula Lodge. Guests at Kwafubesi are free to use all extras available at the Mabula Lodge including guided walks in the bush, quad bike safaris and overnight horse safaris for the adventurous.
Wildlife/Safari:
Nestled next to the Waterberg Mountains there is no shortage of wildlife to be seen. The Mabula Private Game Reserve boasts having undulating landscapes complete with rivers and lakes and open plains. The reserve is home to the Big Five, with a special part of the park set aside for the Kalahari lions. A truly great experience even for the seasoned safari expert.
Access:
The reserve is an easy two hour drive from Johannesburg airport and easily accessible with a rental car from the airport or from Sun City.
