De Bergkant Lodge is a classic style Cape Dutch home, built in the mid 1800s by the famous architect Carel Lotz as a wedding present for his daughter Petronella. It lies at the foot of the massive Swartberg mountains, a short way away from “The Hell”, which despite its name is one of the most beautiful unspoiled valleys in the Karoo.
