Conveniently located near the city center, and close to many major tourist attractions, the Waterfront Apartments in Cape Town are an ideal place to stay for anyone who wants to do Cape Town the right way – especially if you only have a few days to do it in. With easy access and transport to all major tourist attractions there’s no need to even hire a car, as shuttle services to just about anywhere you want to go are available from your doorstep.

Accommodation:

  • A variety of luxury Cape Town accommodation options are available in the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.  All are privately owned and rented, and each offers unique charms and sophistication.
  • Typical apartments have sweeping sea views, large en-suite main bedrooms, a second bedroom, and often a third bedroom or study.
  • Those apartments which face the mountain are typically more reasonably priced, and often much larger than their sea-facing counterparts.  The views, it can be argued, are equally spectacular.

Facilities:

  • Air conditioning
  • Wi-fi connectivity
  • Easy shuttle access to most major tourist destinations
  • Walking distance of the Waterfront’s 400 stores, 45 restaurants and bars and dozens of tour guide operators.

Activities:

(Activities are typically booked privately with tour operators based in the Waterfront, though some we are able to arrange discounted rates for those using the Waterfront Apartments)

  • Helicopter tours
  • Robben Island day trips
  • Boat cruises
  • Whale watching tours (seasonal)
  • Paragliding
  • Parasailing
  • Wine tasting tours
  • Mountain climbing, hiking and scenic walks
  • Fishing tours
  • Abseiling/rock climbing

Nearby Attractions:

  • Robben Island (by ferry) – Book in advance for this eye-opening trip to one of the world’s most famous political prisons.  Now a museum, Robben Island is completely open to tourists, who can walk inside the cell that was home to Nelson Mandela for two decades. We can help you combine this in a custom package
  • Camps Bay and Clifton Beaches – Cape Town’s most popular beaches are only a few minutes away by car or shuttle
  • Table Mountain Cable Car – only ZAR 170 per person – buy tickets online or as part of a package
  • Boulders Beach – 45 minutes’ drive away lies the quaint fishing and naval village of Simonstown where you can find Africa’s largest Jackass penguin colony at Boulder’s Beach. Stop by the statue of Able Seaman Just Nuisance, and find out about the only dog in history to be given naval rank.
  • Hout Bay – This scenic fishing village is just a short drive over the mountain, and claims to offer some of Cape Town’s most delectable seafood dining experiences
  • Cape Winelands – Many tours operate daily out of the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, include transport, wine and meals, and are very reasonably priced

Access:

  • 25 minutes by car from Cape Town International Airport – simply drive down the N2, stay in the right lane (but not the bus lane), and follow the signs for the V&A Waterfront.
